Since returning to public accounting, Michael has applied his expertise in financial reporting, tax planning, and business advisory services to help clients across a diverse range of industries, including small businesses, retail, medical practices, and entertainment. His ability to provide strategic guidance, tax efficiency solutions, and financial oversight has made him a trusted advisor to business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Before joining A. Uzzo & Company in 2008, Michael served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a major restaurant group in New York City for eight years. During his tenure, he played an instrumental role in the company's growth and financial success, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational efficiencies, and profitability initiatives. His experience as a CFO provided him with a firsthand understanding of business operations, financial management, and the challenges entrepreneurs face, which he now leverages to provide comprehensive advisory services to his clients.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Michael earned his degree from the Robert H. Smith School of business at the University of Maryland in College Park.
